3. Data Analysis and Visualization
Beyond managing transactions and reporting, Reeve provides tools to extract published data for analysis and visualize key financial metrics through customizable dashboards.
3.1 Extraction
The ‘Data Extraction’ feature in Reeve allows users to select and visualize a specific set of transactions that have been published on the Cardano blockchain. This functionality is designed to provide transparent access to published financial records. It is available to both internal (authorized) users and to the public in general, fostering trust and auditability.
Access Levels and Data Visibility:
- Public Access: General public users can access and view all transaction data that has been formally published to the Cardano blockchain, through a publicly accessible interface. This provides a foundational layer of transparency.
- Authorized User Access:: For internal authorized users, Reeve provides a more comprehensive view. In addition to all published data, authorized users also have access to unpublished data related to any given transaction. This includes detailed internal processing information or intermediary stages of a transaction before its final blockchain publication, providing a complete audit trail from ERP import to on-chain finality.
3.2 Dashboards
The dashboard and Key Financial Metric functionality was designed for simplicity and offers a limited user interaction possibilities but still allows to visualize key financial metrics from published reports.
The functionality offers three pre-defined layouts, and each tile can be populated by selecting data points from a pre-approved list. Crucially, all data displayed is sourced directly from the published reports on the Cardano blockchain, ensuring immutability and accuracy.
While the authorized user can choose the layout and data points, the dashboards are designed only for quick viewing only, offering limited user interaction within the visualizations themselves.
